UML candidate elected mayor in Fungling municipality

 

Taplejung -CPN (UML) candidate has been elected in Fungling, the one and only municipality in Taplejung district. 

UML's Chatrapati Pyakurel was elected with 3, 898 votes. His closest contender Keshav Prasad Dahal from NC came as close as 3,606 votes. 

In the deputy mayor's contest, CPN (Maoist Centre) candidate Bam Bahadur Bhattarai (Tara) was elected with 3, 129 votes. UML's Bimal Subba became the closest contestant with 2,915 votes, according to Chief Election Official's Office.
