NC general secretary directs people's reps to work as per public sentiment

Nawalparasi - General Secretary of the Nepali Congress Dr Shashank Koirala has urged the newly-elected people's representatives to work as per the people's aspiration.

Addressing a day-long orientation to the people's representatives elected on Nepali Congress ticket in Parasi today, he called on the people's representatives to work in deference to the people's aspiration keeping them at heart.

Leader Koirala said that all sides should come together and chart out the development course for the country. "Nepali Congress is for development and all should join hands to that end," he added.

Some 200 people's representatives elected to the local level from the Nepali Congress attended the training programme.

On the occasion, general secretary Koirala imparted training on political topic, Dr Jagadish Chandra Pokharel on economic topics and law expert Dr Yadunath Khanal on legal matters.
