PHOTOS: Devotees flock to Krishna Temple at Patan marking Shree Krishna Janmashtami
KATHMANDU, Aug 19: One of the most important festivals, Krishna Janmashtami, is the birthday of Lord Krishna — the eighth incarnation of Lord Vishnu — according to Hinduism.
The festival is celebrated with a lot of fervor across the country, since Krishna — often referred to as the ‘Blue God’ — was one of the most popular and loved avatars of the God of Preservation, who is said to have walked on this planet some 5,000 years ago.
Devotees thronged the Krishna Temple located at Patan in Lalitpur from earlier this morning.
