Complaints filed against four candidates in Lalitpur, decision likely today

KATHMANDU, April 28: Investigations are currently underway as complaints were filed against four candidates for the upcoming local level polls in Lalitpur district.
Decision regarding the case will be published today, according to Kiran Shivakoti, chief election officer at Lalitpur.
Complaints were filed against Chiri Babu Maharjan, Nepali Congress’s candidate for the post of mayor of Lalitpur metropolis, Manjali Shakya, UML’s candidate for the post of deputy mayor of the metropolis along with two other candidates.
The poll body is likely to pass a verdict either in favor or against of the complaints.
