Local Level Election 2022: 18,742 candidates file nominations so far

KATHMANDU, April 25: As the country is all set for local level election scheduled for May 13, candidates for the various posts of local level are busy filing their nominations across the country.

According to the Election Commission, as of Monday afternoon, as many as 18,742 candidates have already filed nominations for the polls. Of them, 863 candidates are for mayor, 695 for chairperson, 424 for deputy mayors, 389 for vice-chairpersons, 5,054 for ward chairpersons, 6,108 for female members, 2,854 for dalit female member and 2,355 members.

The nomination filing deadline is expiring this evening.
