KATHMANDU, April 20: In a bid to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the Ministry of Health and Population has directed authorities at 16 border points used by travelers as entry points with China and India to remain in high alert.
The Epidemiology and Disease Control Division, under the Health Ministry, made the direction to this effect as the COVID-19 disease is once again on the rise in the neighboring countries.
The division has urged the authorities concerned to conduct COVID-19 tests of those entering Nepal who are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, and not vaccinated.
