Ruling alliance agrees to field candidate of Maoist Center as a common candidate for post of mayor in Bharatpur metropolis
NC gets Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Biratnagar, Janata Samajbadi Party gets Birgunj and CPN (Unified Socialist) gets Pokhara
KATHMANDU, April 19: The ruling alliance has agreed to field a candidate of CPN (Maoist Center) as a common candidate for the post of mayor in Bharatpur Metropolitan City in the upcoming local level polls.
With the decision, the ruling alliance has agreed to field candidates of Nepali Congress in three metropolises – Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Biratnagar, Maoist Center in Bharatpur, Janata Samajbadi Party in Birgunj and CPN (Unified Socialist) in Pokhara.
The ruling alliance has forged a five party electoral alliance for the upcoming local level polls scheduled for May 13.
