CPN (US) to finalize its candidates for local polls by April 21

KATHMANDU, April 10: The key member of the ruling alliance, CPN (Unified Socialist), has maintained that the party will finalize its candidates for the upcoming local level polls by April 21.

Meetings of the party’s secretariat held on April 9 and 10 took a decision to this effect.

As per the party’s decision, the ward committees will have to recommend the names of the candidates by April 13, municipal committees by April 15 and district committees by April 17.

Likewise, the provincial committees have been asked to recommend the names of candidates for the polls by April 19.

The central level of the party will then take a decision and finalize the names of candidates by April 21, said Bheduram Bhusal, general secretary of the party.
