Central Committee meeting of Maoist Center put off

KATHMANDU, March 6: The central committee meeting of the CPN (Maoist Center) has been postponed.

The meeting was scheduled to be held at 2 PM at Battisputali-based Anupam Party Palace.

The party was expected to give a complete shape to its central committee, office bearers, standing committee and politburo committee through its central committee meeting. However, after failing to forge consensus among leaders regarding positions in the party, the meeting has been postponed.

The next meeting of the party has been scheduled for 11 AM on Monday.

The party will have 16 office bearers including one chairman, one senior vice-chairman, seven vice chairs, one general secretary, two deputy general secretaries, three secretaries and one treasurer.
