Parliament to discuss MCC compact today

KATHMANDU, Feb 24: The Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) compact is scheduled to be discussed in the House of Representatives on Thursday. 

As the government has tabled the agreement in parliament, the $500 million American grant now requires parliamentary ratification.

The proposal seeking discussion on the MCC compact has entered the parliament scheduled for today, according to the Spokesperson at federal parliament, Dr Rojnath Pande. 

The meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) is scheduled to begin at 1:00 PM. 

Similarly, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Dilendra Prasad Badu is scheduled to present the annual report of the Office of the Attorney General for the fiscal year, 2077/2078 BS.
