MOSCOW, Feb. 17: The United States has intensified its military air activity significantly, with U.S. strategic bombers conducting more flights near Russian borders, Deputy Secretary of Russia's Security Council Mikhail Popov said in an interview for Russia's state newspaper Rossiyskaya Gazeta on Wednesday.

"The intensity of flights carried out by U.S. strategic bombers near Russian borders has increased by 40 percent in the last year alone," Popov said.
