UML preparing to register impeachment motion against Speaker Sapkota

KATHMANDU, Feb 14: A day after the lawmakers the ruling alliance registered an impeachment motion against the Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher JB Rana, the main opposition has begun preparations to register a similar motion against Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR), Agni Prasad Sapkota.
The party has already begun collecting signatures of the lawmakers against Speaker Sapkota.
The party is likely to make a decision regarding the motion through a parliamentary party meeting summoned for 11 AM today.
The party has already issued a whip to all it’s the lawmakers to be compulsorily present in the meeting.
A secretariat meeting of UML held on Sunday took a decision to oppose the impeachment motion registered against CJ Rana.
