Ruling alliance’s meeting called off

KATHMANDU, Jan 20: A meeting of the high-level political coordination committee, slated for Thursday, has been postponed. 

The meeting was scheduled to hold at 4 PM at the Baluwatar-based official residence of the prime minister to discuss the host of issues including finalizing the date for local level elections. 

According to a source, the meeting was postponed as the ruling parties failed to have a common understanding on whether to hold local or parliamentary elections first.
