Gatherings of CPN (Unified Socialist) put-off in view of COVID-19 transmission
KATHMANDU, Jan 10: The CPN (Unified Socialist) has decided to postpone its pre-scheduled gatherings in view of the risk of COVID-19 transmission.
The party was earlier scheduled to hold a gathering at Thapagaun-based Kathmandu Banquet on Monday.
Meanwhile, the COVID-19 Crisis Management Coordination Committee (CCMCC) recommended the government to avoid gatherings of more than 25 people on Sunday.
“As per the recommendation the party has announced to postpone the gathering,” said Sabitra Bhusal, a politburo member and chairman of the Bagmati Province Committee.
The gathering is soon to be held in a virtual platform, according to the party.
