NA Election: Nomination of candidates today
KATHMANDU, Jan 4: The Election Commission has completed all the preparations for the nomination of the candidates for 19 vacant posts in the National Assembly.
The election is scheduled to be held on January 26.
“The nomination of candidates for the upcoming election will begin from 10 AM,” said Komal Dhamala, Assistant Spokesperson of the Commission. Twelve political parties will participate in the election.
Election officials have been appointed and polling stations and polling booths have been identified for the election. There are 2,025 voters for the election, including members of the state assembly and the chief and deputy chief of the municipality.
The ruling Nepali Congress (NC), CPN (Maoist Center), CPN-UML and Janata Samajbadi Party have announced to form a coalition for the election and have already divided seats among them.
