Groupwise deliberations concluded, selection of new leadership to begin from today

KATHMANDU, December 31: The group leaders of the Maoist Centre’s General Convention have put forth their groups’ views on political report and statute presented by Chairman of the party, Pushpa Kamal Dahal in the closed-door session of the ongoing national jamboree.

Earlier, the party had formed 25 separate groups to hold discussions on the political document of Dahal and the draft statute tabled by leader Dev Prasad Gurung.  

According to the party's central publicity and publications committee, Chairman Prachanda is scheduled to respond to the concerns raised over the document on Friday.

After the party chairman’s response, the documents would be passed and the process for the leadership selection would begin.

The closed-door session will begin at 1 PM on Friday as well. 

The party is scheduled to commence the selection of new leadership beginning today.
