Vote count for NC’s CWC: Dila Sangraula leading, who makes it to  top nine?

KATHMANDU: Vote-count for central committee members of the ruling Nepali Congress (NC)  (open women category) is underway at the Sanepa-based party’s central office. 

As many as 2,065 votes so far have been tallied, according to the party’s central election committee. 

Of the votes counted, Dr Dila Sangraula is leading with 1,268 votes followed by Pushpa Bhusal’s 1,196 votes. 

While Arzoo Rana Deuba is in the third spot with 1,116 votes, Ambika Basnet has so far secured 998 votes. 

As many as 30 candidates are in the fray for central committee membership, of which nine candidates securing  higher number of votes will be elected. 

Voting for the new executive committee was held on Monday, last week.
