Vote-count for NC vice-president: Gurung leads tally; Khadka, Gachchhadar trailing behind

KATHMANDU: Dhanraj Gurung is leading the vote-count tally for the vice-president of the ruling Nepali Congress (NC).
Of the 300 votes counted, Gurung has secured 131 votes followed by Purna Bahadur Khadka’s 128 and Bijaya Kumar Gachchhadar’s 122.
Similarly, Chandra Bhandari has secured 95 votes, Sujata Koirala 36, Mahesh Acharya 24 and Divyashwori Shah 6 votes.
Two candidates will be elected as NC vice-president.
Election for the NC executive committee was held on Monday.
