NC presidency vote-count: Deuba leading Koirala with margin of 296 votes

KATHMANDU: Sher Bahadur Deuba, incumbent president of the ruling Nepali Congress (NC), is leading the vote-count for the party president. 

In the vote-count underway at the City Hall in the capital, Deuba has secured 992 votes while his rival Dr Shekhar Koirala has so far won 696 votes.

As many as 1,700 votes have so far been counted.
