COVID-19 Update: 264 new cases, 2 deaths Tuesday

KATHMANDU: The country recorded 264 new cases and two infection-related deaths in the past 24 hours as of Tuesday afternoon, according to the Ministry of Health and Population. 

The infection figures were from a total of 13,709 tests conducted in various laboratories in the country during the same period. So far, the number of active infection cases is 5,689, informed the Ministry.

Until now, the number of recovery cases stands at 807,516 with 362 recoveries in the past 24 hours. The recovery stands at 97.9 percent. 

The death toll from the Coronavirus infection hit 11,559 with two deaths in the past 24 hours, the Ministry said.

On Tuesday, 236,482 people were vaccinated against the flu-like infection. So far, a total of 20,995,536 doses of vaccines have been administered, shared by the Ministry.
