Six ordinances tabled in House meeting amid UML obstruction
KATHMANDU: Amid the obstruction by CPN-UML lawmakers, the government has tabled a total of six ordinances in Thursday's meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR).
Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand presented the first amendment to Nepal Police and Provincial Police (work execution, supervision and coordination) Ordinance 2021 BS; another ordinance related to Acid and Other Harmful Chemicals (Regulation)2021, and the first amendment to Social Security Ordinance.
Similarly, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Dilendra Prasad Badu tabled Railway Ordinance 2021 and ordinances amending Act against Sexual Violence some acts related to criminal offense and criminal procedures.
Followed by UML obstruction, Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota said that the next meeting will be convened at 1 PM, on Dec 22.
