Shekhar Koirala’s panel for NC elections almost finalized

KATHMANDU: Shekhar Koirala, one of the aspirants for the president of ruling Nepali Congress (NC), has almost finalized a team of contenders from his panel. 

According to a source close to Koirala, Gagan Thapa and Minendra Rijal will be fielded for the general secretary position. 

Similarly, Chandra Bhandari will vie for a vice-presidential position. Ram Sharan Mahat or Mahesh Acharya will be in a bid for another vice-president. 

Devraj Chalise, Kamala Panta, Jeevan Pariyar, Ram Krishna Yadav, Sheik Wakil and Tejulal Chaudhary are likely to field for joint general secretary.
