Inaugural session delays by an hour, top leaders reach venue

Nat'l jamboree was to be inaugurated at 1PM

KATHMANDU: The inaugural session of the 14th General Convention of the ruling Nepali Congress (NC), which was scheduled to begin at 1 PM, has been delayed by an hour and more. 

Top leaders of the party including President Sher Bahadur Deuba, senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel, General Secretary Shashank Koirala and leader Prakash Man Poudel reached the Bhrikuti Mandap-based venue in the capital. 

Poudel, who had earlier said that he would not attend the session, however, decided to join after being urged by Vice President Bimalendra Nidhi.
