Bagmati CM Pandey to take trust vote on Nov 8

KATHMANDU: Chief minister of Bagmati Province Rajendra Prasad Pandey is scheduled to go for a floor test on November 8. 

Pandey, the parliamentary party leader of the CPN (Unified Socialist) in Bagmati Province, was appointed the executive head of the province on October 28. 

Following the resignation of his predecessor Ashta Laxmi Shakya on October 27, Pandey laid a claim for the chief ministerial position being backed by 59 lawmakers close to the ruling alliance comprising CPN (US), Nepali Congress (NC), CPN (Maoist Center), Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) and Rastriya Janamorcha. 


andey is required to take a confidence vote within 30 days of his appointment as per Article 168 (4) of the Constitution of Nepal. 

Bagmati province assembly secretariat shared that CM Pandey’s confidence motion was registered on Sunday.
