Cabinet expansion likely today: Prachanda

KATHMANDU: Chairman of ruling CPN (Maoist Center), Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that the Sher Bahadur Deuba-led Cabinet is likely to be expanded on Monday. 

Prachanda, while addressing a program organized at the party headquarters in Paris Danda on Monday, said that the ruling alliance is preparing to expand the Cabinet by the evening if possible. 

According to him, the alliance comprising Nepali Congress, Maoist Center, CPN (Unified Socialist), Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) and Rastriya Janamorcha, will finalize the ministerial berths division if expansion is not possible. 

Deuba, who was appointed the prime minister following the mandamus by the Supreme court, on July 13, is yet to have a full-fledged Cabinet.
