Bagmati CM Shakya loses majority as CPN (Unified Socialist) withdraws support

KATHMANDU, September 13: The Chief Minister (CM) of Bagmati Province Asta Laxmi Shakya officially lost the majority in the Provincial Assembly after the CPN (Unified Socialist) withdrew support on Sunday.

The CPN (Unified Socialist) sent a letter addressed to the secretary of the province stating that the party has withdrawn its support to the government-led by Shakya.

Earlier, a meeting of Unified Socialist held at the Province Assembly Secretariat had taken a decision not to support the government of Bagmati Province.
