COVID-19 Update: 1,845 recoveries, 1,271 new cases reported on Thursday

28,678 active cases nationwide

KATHMANDU: Nepal reported a total of 1,845 new recoveries on Thursday taking the total number of people winning their battle against the coronavirus disease to 735,006, meaning 94.9 percent of total infected patients got over the disease. 

According to the data released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), there are still 28,678 patients nationwide who are yet to recover from the deadly disease. 

Meanwhile, 1,271 new cases were detected across the country through 11,944 tests carried out in the past 24 hours as of Thursday afternoon. 

5,102,244 people fully vaccinated 

The ministry shared that 5,102,244 have been fully vaccinated against the coronavirus disease. As many as 92,169 were vaccinated on Thursday alone. Nepal has been administering vaccines since January. 

Meanwhile, Nepal’s COVID-19 fatality tally has climbed to 10,903 including 14 deaths recorded on Thursday.
