These 20 districts have 500 plus active corona cases

KATHMANDU, Aug 25: As many as 20 districts across the country have more than 500 active cases of the coronavirus disease, reveals the data released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP). 

Of the 20 districts, Kathmandu has 6,792 active cases while Kaski has 3,332 and Jhapa 2,655 cases. Apart from these districts, Moran and Sunsari (Province 1) Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Chitwan, Makwanpur, Kavrepalanchowk, Nuwakot and Sindhupalchowk (Bagmati Province) have 500 plus active cases of the disease. Nawalparasi East , Kaski, Baglung, Gorkha, Syanja and Tanahu (Gandaki Province),  Dang and Rupandehi (Lumbini) and  Surkhet (Karnali) are other districts with more than 500 active cases. 

According to data released by the ministry on Wednesday, all the districts have active cases, meaning COVID-19 case is still spreading far and wide.

Districts with more than 500 active cases:

Morang, Jhapa, Sunsari, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Chitwan, Makwanpur, Kavreplanchowk, Nuwakot, Sindhupalchowk, Nawalparasi East, Kaski, Baglung, Gorkha, Syanja, Tanahu, Dang, Rupandehi and Surkhet 

Districts with more than 200 cases:

 Dhankuta, Ilam, Dhanusha, Bara, Saptari, Siraha Dolakha, Dhading, Sindhuli, Ramechhap, Lamjung, Parbat, Gulmi, Palpa, Banke, Bardiya Jumla, Kailali, and Kanchanpur
