44 more COVID-19 deaths recorded on Wednesday

KATHMANDU, Aug 25: As many as 44 more deaths linked with the coronavirus disease infection were confirmed in the past 24 hours as of Wednesday afternoon. 

According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 2,482 new cases of the disease were detected on Wednesday through 15,290 tests carried out across the country. Similarly, 1,781 patients got over the disease. 

Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley, where Nepal’s federal capital lies, reported a total of 745 new cases on Wednesday including 515 in Kathmandu district. 

The data released by the ministry reveals that 752,863 cases have so far been detected through real time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) tests and 81,587 via antigen tests.
