Newly appointed CM Shakya forms three-member cabinet

KATHMANDU, August 19: The newly appointed Chief Minister of Bagmati Province, Astalaxmi Shakya has formed a three member council of ministers.
Krishna Khanal has been given the portfolio of Minister for Social Development, and Keshav Raj Pandey has been appointed Minister for Internal Affairs and Law and Physical Infrastructure.
Remaining four Ministries have been put under Shakya’s own responsibility.
Following the resignation of outgoing CM Dor Mani Poudel, the preparation of a new government soon followed.
Shakya has now become the first woman in Nepal to be appointed in the post of CM of the province.
