Lumbini Province Assembly’s ninth session to kick off today, CM KC to address

BUTWAL, Aug 17: Ninth session of the Lumbini Province Assembly is scheduled to kick off from Tuesday. 

“A meeting of the provincial assembly, which has been summoned by Province Chief Amik Sherchan as per Article 183 (1) of the constitution, is scheduled to take place at 1PM on Tuesday,”  said Durlabh Pun Magar, secretary at Provincial Assembly Secretariat. 

Pun also shared that newly appointed Chief Minister Kul Prasad KC is scheduled to address Tuesday’s meeting. KC was appointed chief minister of the province with the support of four political parties --- Nepali Congress (NC), CPN (Maoist Center), Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) and Rastriya Janamorcha--- on August 13. His predecessor, CPN-UML’s Shankar Pokharel had resigned on August 11.
