Examinees to get corona vaccine based on admission cards

KATHMANDU, Aug 11: The government has decided to administer the students and examinees with the vaccine against the coronavirus disease on the basis of their examination admission cards. 

The decision comes amid a public outcry demanding either postponement of scheduled examinations or ensuring vaccinations to all. 

Dr Jhalak Sharma, the chief of the National Vaccination Program said that the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) decided to inoculate examinees on the basis of their exam admission cards. 

With this, the students can be vaccinated in three districts in the Kathmandu Valley after producing their admission cards. 

On can get vaccine at Birendra Army Hospital, Nepal Police Hospital and Armed Police Force Hospital. The ministry is yet to share details when the vaccination drive kicks off. 

The government plans to inoculate 60,000 students under this drive.
