COVID-19: Nepal reports 55 new deaths on Sunday

KATHMANDU, Aug 8: Nepal reported 55 more deaths due to coronavirus infection on Sunday.
With this the total number of COVID-19 deaths in the country has soared to 10,093.
Meanwhile, 2,548 new cases were detected in the past 24 hours as of Sunday afternoon, meaning Nepal’s COVID-19 casetally hits 783,355.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population (moHP), there are 35,485 active cases of the disease throughout the country while 93.6 percent of the total infections ---- 669,299 --- have recovered from the disease.
