Nepal’s COVID-19 death tally surpasses grim 10,000 mark

KATHMANDU, Aug 6: The number of fatalities due to coronavirus disease infection in Nepal has crossed a grim mark of 10,000 including 25 more deaths on Friday. 

The Ministry of Health and Population shared that a total of 10,019 people have so far succumbed to the disease. This accounts for 1.5 percent of the total infections confirmed in the country

Nepal had first reported the death due to the fatal disease on May 16 last year. The first case was detected on January 23, 2020.
