PM Deuba to take trust vote today

KATHMANDU, July 18: Five days after his appointment, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is scheduled to take a vote of confidence from the House of Representatives (HoR) on Sunday. 

According to a source at the Federal Parliament Secretariat, Deuba will table a confidence motion at the meeting of the reinstated HoR, which is scheduled to be held at 4 PM. 

Deuba, who was appointed the prime minister as per Article 76 (5) of the constitution on July 13, is required to take parliament’s confidence within 30 days of his appointment .
