COVID-19: 1,875 new infections reported with 29 dead

KATHMANDU, July 8: The country has reported 1,875 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours. This was revealed in 10,504 tests including 5,374 RT-PCR and 5130 Antigen tests carried out in various laboratories across the country, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.

With this, the total number of infected has reached 651,380 through RT-PCR test and 41,469 through Antigen tests. During the reference period, 1,286 people recovered from COVID-19, taking the total recoveries to 615,613. The recovery rate stands at 94.5 per cent.

Likewise, 29 people died in the past 24 hours, taking the COVID-19 death toll to 9,320 in the country. The case fatality rate is 1.5 per cent.
