Top brass of opposition alliance holding interaction with journalists

KATHMANDU, June 26: Top leaders of the opposition alliance are holding an interaction with the media persons at 2PM Saturday . 

According to Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Purna Bahadur Khadka, the program is scheduled to be held at the Lhotse Hall of the Federal Parliament building in New Baneshwor, Kathmandu 

NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba, CPN (Maoist Center) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, CPN-UML senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal, Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) Chairman Upendra Yadav and Durga Poudel, Vice-chairperson of Rastriya Jana Morcha (RJM) among clothes will attend the program. 

The top brass held a similar interaction with the editors of different media outlets on Thursday. 

Following the May 22 House dissolution, the opposition alliance has waged both the political and legal fight citing the move was unconstitutional. 

Meanwhile, the alliance also decided to launch street demonstrations against the House dissolution move. Students organizations affiliated to the alliance staged a protest demonstration across the country on Thursday. 

While the opposition parties are holding a series of discussions and launching programs of protests, the Supreme Court (SC) has been hearing the writ petitions seeking the restoration of the House of Representatives (HoR) for nearly one month.
