Prez Bhandari issues citizenship ordinance

KATHMANDU, May 23: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has issued an ordinance that amends the act on citizenship in Nepal. 

The Office of the President, releasing a statement on Sunday, states that the ‘Ordinance on Nepal Citizenship (First Amendment)’ has been issued at the recommendation of the Council of Ministers as per Article 114 of the Constitution of Nepal.
