Corona patients to receive free treatment at these 30 private hospitals, medical colleges

KATHMANDU, May 19: The government will provide free treatment to corona patients at thirty different private hospitals and medical colleges across the country.

Assistant spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), Dr Sameer Kumar Adhikari said that the ministry signed agreements with 30 private hospitals and medical colleges in seven provinces to provide treatment free of cost to the corona patients. 

As per the agreement, the ministry will provide Rs 3,500 per patient per day for isolation facilities, Rs 7,000 per person for the treatment of moderately complicated cases and Rs 15,000 per person for treatment in ICUs and ventilators.

The hospitals signing the agreement with the ministry are required to submit the cost details of the treatment to the ministry.
