COVID-19: 8,173 cases, 7,989 recoveries recorded on Wednesday
Record-high deaths of 246 confirmed in past 24 hours

KATHMANDU, May 19: As many as 8,173 new cases of the coronavirus disease were detected on Wednesday, daily COVID-19 updates released by the Health Ministry revealed.
“Similarly, 7,989 patients recovered from the disease in the past 24 hours,” said ministry spokesperson Dr Jageshwor Gautam during a regular media briefing.
Meanwhile, the ministry confirmed the record-high deaths of 246 in the past one days.
Dr Gautam added that 2,486 cases were added in the Kathmandu Valley including 1,988 in Kathmandu, 228 in Bhaktapur and 270 in Lalitpur districts.
