UML issues whip to its lawmakers to vote for PM Oli tomorrow

KATHMANDU, May 9: The ruling CPN-UML has issued a whip to its lawmakers to vote in favor of Prime Minister and party Chairman KP Sharma Oli as the latter is seeking a vote of confidence at the 275-member House of Representatives (HoR) on Monday. 

Chief Whip of the party, Bishal Bhattarai, on Sunday, issued the whip asking the lawmakers to cast their votes in favor of PM Oli. The whip was issued as per the Political Party Act-2017 and UML’s Parliamentary Party Statue-2021, according to  Bhattarai. 

PM Oli is scheduled to seek parliament’s trust at a special meeting of parliament on Monday.
