Record-high COVID-19 cases confirmed in Nepal, 27 more die

Kathmandu Valley alone added 3,595 cases

KATHMANDU, May 2: Nepal recorded the record high daily-count of COVID-19 cases on Sunday. According to the health ministry, as many as 7,211 new cases were detected throughout the country. 

With this, Nepal’s overall case tally has jumped to 336,030.

The Kathmandu Valley, where Nepal’s capital city lies, reported 3,595 new cases on Sunday alone. 

Similarly, the country confirmed 27 other deaths in the past 24 hours taking the fatality tally to 3,325.
