Prohibitory being imposed in these 29 districts

KATHMANDU, May 2: The local administrations of 29 districts throughout the country have imposed prohibitory orders to stem the transmission chain of the second wave of coronavirus disease. 

The Cabinet had earlier authorised the respective district administrations to enforce the orders if the hill districts report more than 200 active cases. Similarly, those districts in the Kathmandu Valley and terai can impose prohibitory orders if active cases surpass 500. 

According to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA), 22 districts have enforced prohibitory orders across the districts. Similarly, 27 others have imposed the order only in the COVID-19-affected areas of the districts.

These  districts have imposed orders throughout the district: 

1.       Banke

2.       Surkhet

3.       Kathmandu

4.       Lalitpur

5.       Bhaktapur

6.       Kaski

7.       Kailali

8.       Parsa

9.       Dang

10.   Kanchanpur

11.   Palpa

12.   Chitwan

13.   Rupandehi

14.   Salyan

15.   Sunsari

16.   Jajarkot

17.   Jhapa

18.   Gulmi

19.   Pyuthan

20.   Udayapur

21.   Rukum (West)

22.   Dadeldhura

These seven districts have imposed orders in some parts of the district:

4.       Gorkha

5.       Kavre

6.       Morang

7.    Darchula
