Lockdown enforced in Banke’s Nepalgunj Sub-metropolis

Week-long prohibitory order will end on April 28

KATHMANDU, April 21 : A lockdown order has been imposed in Nepalgunj Sub Metropolitan City in Banke district. 

The District Administration Office (DAO), Banke decided to enforce the order and close down all the services except for the emergency ones. The order will get enforced from Wednesday midnight and continue until midnight, April 28. 

Issuing a public statement, Banke DAO shared that all the services except the emergency ones have been suspended owing to the rising risk of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19). 

Emergency services related to health, electricity, telecommunication, waste management, gas and petroleum products, vegetables, food stuff, dairy products, pharmacies, bank ATMs, pre-scheduled examinations, air transportations and public construction will be allowed during this period.
