Remarkable contributions of farmers to protect country's existence - PM Deuba

Lalitpur - Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba acknowledged the remarkable contributions of the farmers to protect the existence of the country. 

Inaugurating the 24th annual general meeting of the Jyapu Samaaj Lalitpur on Saturday, Prime Minister Deuba said that the contributions of entire Nepali people to keep up the country's glory are unparalleled. 

The Prime Minister lauded the substantial role of the Jyapu Samaaj to enliven their identity by integrating the farmers' groups. 

He appreciated the folks of Patan for their contributions in preserving the peculiar art, religion and culture of Lalitpur "The Samaaj's works to the uplift of the poor farmers are highly commendable", the PM noted. 

On the occasion, Prime Minister Deuba had observed the museum based in the building of the Samaaj. 

Samaaj Chairperson Prem Maharjan said the Samaaj would continue fighting for the welfare and rights of Newari community.
