Maoist Centre candidate elected mayor of Rolpa municipality

 

Rolpa - CPN (Maoist Centre) candidate has been elected the mayor of Rolpa, the only municipality in the district.

Maoist Centre's Purna KC garnered 5,634 votes against 3, 827 votes obtained by his closest contender, Lekhnath Acharya, of Nepali Congress (NC). 

The same party has also registered victory in the deputy mayor's election. Centre's Man Kumari Gharti has been elected with 5, 668 votes. Her closest rival, Mishri Hamal, from Nepali Congress garnered 3,721 votes.
