Suspended CJ Rana arrives at Singha Durbar to record his statement

KATHMANDU, Aug 31: Suspended Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher JB Rana is currently at Singha Durbar to record his statement as an impeachment has been filed against him.
The impeachment recommendation committee is scheduled to record the statement of CJ Rana.
The 11-member committee includes four lawmakers of UML, two each of Nepali congress and CPN (Maoist Center), and one each of CPN (Unified Socialist), Janata Samajbadi Party and Loktantrik Samajbadi Party.
Earlier in February, as many as 98 lawmakers of Congress, Maoist Center and CPN (Unified Socialist) registered the motion at the Parliament Secretariat. Following the registration, an Impeachment Recommendation Committee was also formed.
