Property details mandatory to file candidacy in upcoming general election

KATHMANDU, Aug 14: The Election Commission (EC) has made it mandatory for the candidates to submit their property details ahead of failing their nominations for the upcoming polls of House of Representatives and the provincial level.

Speaking to editors of various news media on Sunday, Chief Election Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya maintained that those willing to file their candidacy for the upcoming polls will first have to submit their property details. “The details will be unveiled once he or she is elected.”
