Three arrested with Rs 7,200,000 from Capital for hundi transaction
KATHMANDU, Aug 9: Police have arrested three individuals with Rs 7,200,000 from Kathmandu for their alleged involvement in hundi transactions.
Of the arrestees, one has been identified as an Indian national while two others are Nepalese.
They were arrested from Thahiti, Kathmandu on Monday evening. They have been further identified as Raju Agrawal from Rajasthan, India, Ram Hari Dhulal from Melamchi, Sindhupalchowk and Sudeep Acharya from Rautahat, according to SP Krishna Koirala of the Valley Crime Investigation Office.
Along with the money, the police have also confiscated a cheque of Rs 2,696,000.
