Probe Committee gives ‘clean chit’ to Ex-FinMin Sharma

KATHMANDU, July 29: The parliamentary committee, formed to investigate charges against former Finance Minister Janardan Sharma that he invited two unofficial personnel at the Ministry and changed the tax rates during the budget preparation, gave a clean chit to Sharma on Friday.

Presenting the report of investigation to the House of Representatives (HoR) on Friday, Chairman of the committee, Laxman Lal Karna maintained that the committee found no evidence against outgoing Finance Minister Sharma during its 75 hours of investigation.
